Meet our New Employee Director
The Co-op Bylaws are written so that of the seven seats for the Board of Directors, two are specifically for Employee Directors. One of the employee seats was recently vacated early. To fill the seat, employees accepted applications and then held their own election. They elected Michael Cahill, the Grocery Department Head at the Arcata store. Normally, an employee is ratified by the membership during the general election, but due to timing this was not possible, so the Board met and unanimously appointed Michael to a one-year term. Congratulations Michael!
