Help Choose the 2026 Seeds for Change Recipients
Voting Begins November 3!
In 2026, the Co-op’s popular Seeds for Change Round-up Program enters its seventh year. This year, fifty-seven local nonprofit organizations are on the ballot, and Co-op members will help decide which nine will receive funding. Voting is open through November 16.
It’s inspiring to see so many organizations working to improve our community. With fifty-seven to choose from, narrowing it down to just nine may feel like a challenge. To help, we’ve created a voting guide that briefly introduces each organization and its mission. The guide is available to view at in-store table displays and online at northcoast.coop/seedsforchange.
This year, all voting takes place online at northcoast.coop/vote, and members may cast one vote per membership. Online voting ensures that no one selects more than nine organizations, which helps prevent ballots from being disqualified. It also makes it much easier to count the votes.
Seeds for Change invites customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, with the extra cents going directly to a local nonprofit. Each month, a different organization receives the donations collected in stores, typically ranging from $6,000 to $13,800.
In its first six years, the program has raised over $600,000 for local nonprofits. Seeds for Change is a powerful expression of the international cooperative principle of caring for the community. It also reflects the shared values of our members, shoppers, and staff. On behalf of all participating organizations, past, present, and future, thank you for supporting our community.
